"As a motivational speaker, Dr. Lonnell Johnson distinguished himself in many facets of education and ministry. I have known him for over 30 years and have observed, first-hand, the outstanding work he has done as a teacher, a minister, and speaker to some of the largest educational organizations in the country. In 1999, Dr. Johnson was invited to serve as the keynote speaker for the College Language Association’s Annual Convention, which was held in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and hosted by Fayetteville State University. Dr. Johnson spoke eloquently before an audience of 400 people.
I have heard Johnson on a myriad of occasions, and he continues to impress me with the breadth and depth of his academic and professional skills. Dr. Johnson is a great communicator, extremely organized, and reliable. It has been a privilege to have been associated with him for so many years."

"Dr. Johnson's book is a testament of God's faithfulness. I bought a copy of the original book for my dad who had gone through a similar health challenge, and it lifted his spirits and renewed his faith. Even today, he continues to speak about how Dr. Johnson's testimony blessed him. I recommend Watch, Fight and Pray to anyone who has been diagnosed with an illness and dares to believe God's promises for healing. This book is tangible proof that God is and will forever be our healer."

"I have had several opportunities to experience the captivating skill of Dr. Lonnell E. Johnson, a prolific speaker. As a man filled with the essence of a wide range of literary works, including those pieces he has authored, he communicates his passion to make each presentation come alive in a special way. Truly, he is a gifted orator. Without hesitation, I endorse this professor, friend of humanity, and man of God, who is filled with a gift worth sharing with a larger world."
